Heaven is Here

This book was reccommended to me by my mother-in-law and I am so glad that I read it.
I bought it on Tuesday and started reading it Wednesday night and was finished with it by Thursday night. I could not put it down! I highly reccommend reading it. I had seen Stephanie Nielson last November at Time Out for Women and I have read her blog for several years, but it was not until I read her book that I truly understood what she has been through and how amazing she truly is. Her and her family are an inspiration to everyone. For those of you who don't know, Stephanie and her husband were in a near fatal plane crash in 2008, where 80% of her body was burned and she was in a coma for 3 months. I loved reading her book and seeing how far she has come and how her faith has been tested and strengthened.
Her love for motherhood and her appreciation of the small things are apparent throughout the book.

In reading this, I have gained a greater appreciation for the many blessings I have been given and I am trying not to take for granted all that Heavenly Father has blessed me with. I have found myself complaining less about doing mundane tasks, like cleaning and doing laundry, because I am blessed to have healthy arms, hands, and fingers that allow me to do so easily. I appreciate Clay, my family, and friends more because life is fragile and you never know what could happen to change your world in an instant. I want to exercise more and take better care of the healthy body I have been blessed with, because I have healthy legs and I can walk and run freely without pain. I have tried not to sweat the small things that go wrong that are out of my control, because I know Who is in charge and that He has a plan and a purpose for me.
I am grateful.
